Inc. has recognized LNK Partners as one of the top 50 founder-friendly private equity firms in the United States.

We identified firms that have invested in founder-led companies, gathered data on how their portfolio companies have grown, and asked entrepreneurs to tell us about their experiences—including what any founder should know about outside investors.

That research has yielded our list of 50 firms with a track record of successfully backing entrepreneurs. Think of it as the first step in doing your own due diligence.

Over LNK’s history, approximately two-thirds of their investments have been in founder-led businesses. As a partner to founders, they work hard to provide support whenever and wherever it is needed. Sometimes that assistance comes in the form of helping to determine high-level strategic priorities. In other instances it may mean providing help with the execution of tactical initiatives. In all situations, LNK is not interested in “running the business,” but rather in partnering with great management teams and then working hard to support them in any way possible as they build outstanding consumer and retail companies.

As one of their five examples of success, Inc. chose to highlight LNK’s experience working with Sam Calagione and Dogfish Head Craft Beer. This represents the second time this year that LNK’s partnership with Dogfish Head has been recognized. In August, The Deal awarded The Boston Beer Company’s acquisition of Dogfish Head as the “Consumer, Retail, Food & Beverage Deal of the Year.”
